A six-week online creative writing program for Muslim girls ages 13–17. Across twelve live classes, students learn the elements of storytelling and work toward an original short story.
Here, girls study the craft of storytelling while considering their values and choices as Muslimahs. Our approach draws upon the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, with lessons that encourage creativity and give girls opportunities to practice what they learn.
I'm Najah Bint Jihad, a Muslimah writer, mother, educator, and writing mentor. I've taught English and creative writing to middle- and high-school students, facilitated workshops, and mentored girls and Muslim women. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work and a certificate in Child Advocacy Studies.
